Fan Advisory: Doubleheader Procedures July 3rd

Hey Hoots fans! We are extremely excited to be hosting our first doubleheader at Golden Park this weekend when your Chatt-a-Hoots take on the Alpharetta Aviators for two games on Saturday July 3^rd.

To help make your fan experience smoother on Saturday please note the following changes to our regular game day experience due to the doubleheader.

The Sunbelt Baseball League plays all doubleheaders as two 7-inning games. If either of the games are tied after seven innings the International Tiebreaker Rule (ITB) will be utilized from inning eight onward until the game is completed. The ITB utilizes a runner on 2^nd (the last out of the previous inning) to start each team’s at-bats.

The game times for the two games on Saturday will be at 1:05 and 6:05 P.M. (estimated). When the first game is completed a full building clear out will happen so we can quickly turn around the stadium and prepare it for the 2^nd game. We estimate a 90-minute window from clear out of game 1 to doors opening for game 2.

Fans looking to attend both games will need two tickets as these games are ticketed separately, thus the building clear out. Single game tickets are available at GoHoots.com/tickets.

Game 1 of the doubleheader (starting at 1:05 P.M.) is officially listed as an Aviator home game due to rain outs early in the season. This means the Hoots will be batting first in the 1:05 game. The second game is scheduled as the Hoots being the home team so Columbus will bat 2nd when the 6:05 game begins.

Because game 1 is not considered a “home game” for the Hoots there will unfortunately not be any all-you-can-eat service provided at the game. Season Ticket holders for the Hoots did receive this game as a courtesy in their ticket package upon the re-schedule. Regular concessions will be available during game 1.

Game 2 will have regular all-you-can-eat service provided to those that had purchased it when the window was open, including season ticket holders, groups, suite holders etc.

Another quick reminder, this weekend is Military Appreciation Weekend, and the team will be wearing specialty jerseys on Monday against Waleska with those jerseys available on the DASH app starting on Friday night!
