Hoots Commit Duo From ABAC
Columbus, GA - The Columbus Chatt-a-Hoots are proud to unveil two new commitments for the 2021 inaugural season.
Right-handed pitcher Davis Livingston and first basemen Henry Daniels are teammates at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) and will be teammates when the Chatt-a-Hoots take the field in June. Both players are also classmates, each holding freshman standing this season at ABAC.
"I am honored to play in the inaugural season of Columbus Chat-a-Hoots baseball and be able to represent my hometown" Livingston said.
“I’m extremely blessed to be given this opportunity and am very excited to play this summer” Daniels said.
Both players are local to the Chattahoochee Valley from their high school playing days with Livingston coming from Columbus High and Daniels coming from Colquitt County.
Hoots manager Steve Smith is definitely excited for both guys to be a part of the team in 2021.
"Davis Livingston is a right handed pitcher we are excited about" Smith said. "He is an uncomfortable at bat for hitters with his low arm slot from the side. He features a mid-80's fastball and compliments it with his effective secondary pitches. Davis is projected to see substantial and important innings this spring at ABAC and we believe he will be an impact arm on our staff this summer!"
"Henry Daniels came highly recommended from multiple coaches" Smith continued. "Henry is an imposing figure at 6'6" with big time power from the left side. We are excited about the impact Henry will have on our offense and are looking forward to having him this summer!"
Livingston and Daniels add in with the three commitments Smith received last week to make five players already committed to the roster for 2021. Make sure to stay tuned on the Chatt-a-Hoots social media pages (@HootsonFirst) for more details about tickets, merchandise, and schedule coming soon!
