
HOOTS COMPLETE WEEKEND SWEEP OF CRACKERS
COLUMBUS, GA - Zane Ross went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs and Parker Lester finished 3-for-4 as the Columbus Chatt-a-Hoots beat the Atlanta Crackers 5-3 on Saturday night at Golden Park.
The Hoots took advantage of a pair of second inning walks to score both runners on RBI singles from Ross and Caden Shirah. The Hoots also added one run in the third and two more in the fourth to complete the offense on the evening.
William Turner turned in four innings of work for the win, walking three and striking out seven while allowing just one earned run for the victory. Trey Sanders pitched a scoreless ninth for the save.
The Chatt-a-Hoots now take on the Bucks in Brookhaven on Monday and Wednesday night. First pitch is slated for 6:30 pm. Radio coverage for Hoots games is broadcast on flagship station 106.9 Columbus’ Real Rock Station and the Hoots Radio Network.
