HOOTS DROP SECOND HALF OF ROAD SERIES WITH CRACKERS

KENNESAW, GA - The Columbus Chatt-a-Hoots dropped the second half of a weekday series with the Atlanta Crackers 13-4 to remain a half game behind the Gainesville Gol’Diggers for the SunBelt Baseball League lead.


The Hoots got off to a solid start, scoring twice in the top half of the first inning before the Crackers took the game over by scoring five times in the fourth and fifth innings. Columbus couldn’t manage a comeback in the game and split the series in Kennesaw after a dramatic 11-inning win on Monday.


Columbus will now look forward to an important Friday and Saturday set against Gainesville at Golden Park. First pitch for both games is slated for 7:05 pm. Tickets are on sale through the team office by calling (706) 507-4625 or online at GoHoots.com.
