Hoots Reveal Inaugural Roster

by Zak DeBeaussaert

Columbus, GA - The Columbus Chatt-a-Hoots are excited to announce the first roster in franchise history ahead of the 2021 season.

The roster is 30 players deep and a majority of players on the team played locally in the Chattahoochee Valley during their high school years. On top of that, the team also has five players who play college ball locally, four from Columbus State (the maximum allowable from one school) and another from Chattahoochee Valley Community College (CVCC).

The Hoots roster breakdown is as follows: 13 pitchers, 3 catchers, 9 infielders, and 5 outfielders. However, there are a few players that manager Steve Smith has had his eye on to play as both a pitcher and a fielder in the 2021 season. Pitcher designations, split positions and more are to be determined as practice rolls on towards the first games.
