
HOOTS WALK TO WIN WITH FOUR-RUN SEVENTH
COLUMBUS, GA - The Columbus Chatt-a-Hoots walked six times and scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to turn a 2-1 deficit into a 5-2 win over the Atlanta Crackers on Friday night.
All ten men in the Hoots batting order came to the plate, with four runs scoring on six walks, a wild pitch and a single in the inning.
Ashton Shakelford then came in to nail down his third save of the season with two innings of scoreless ball, striking out four and walking one.
Connor Trepanier earned the win for Columbus with one inning of work with a walk and a strikeout. Cole Dawson took the loss, allowing all four Hoots runs in the seventh on four walks and a hit.
