
Masks Off at Hoots Games, Columbus!
Columbus, GA – The Consolidated Government of Columbus has suspended the ordinance which required face coverings to be worn in public places and businesses in Columbus, effective May 20th at noon.
For baseball games and other events at Golden Park, this means masks will not be mandatory for spectators.
The Columbus Chatt-a-Hoots are continuing to monitor the health situation as it pertains to the 2021 baseball season approaching soon and are excited by this latest development that we are on the rise from this pandemic.
The Hoots are following suit with the City in encouraging all fans who have not been vaccinated to wear face coverings to prevent the spread of COVID and to follow the CDC’s recommendations when they cannot socially distance themselves. The Chatt-a-Hoots have their first games at Golden Park in early June and have a jam-packed inaugural season planned, including the 2021 SBL All-Star Game to be played on July 14th. More information about the upcoming season can be found at GoHoots.com.
