I want to thank Merri and the sports council for their work to bring this event to Golden Park and the City of Columbus, especially Holli Browder with the Parks and Recreation Department along with Johnny Harp and James Trivett in the Facility Maintenance Department for their tremendous support and help with the renovations at Golden Park.”

Merri Sherman, Executive Director of the Columbus, GA Sports Council: “The Sports Council of Columbus, Georgia is thrilled to host the SSAC Baseball Championships! Historic Golden Park has a rich history of hosting some of the best in the world, and we look forward to welcoming the SSAC back to Columbus to continue that legacy!  In your down time, we hope that you experience all the amazing things that our vibrant city has to offer. To everyone involved – players, coaches, support staff and spectators – I offer the sincere hospitality for which our city has become so well known for.”
